HSUS Investigation Spotlights Puppy Mill Dogs Selling at Flea Markets

A recently released investigation by The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) shows the sale of sick dogs and puppies from puppy mills (inhumane, commercial dog breeders) at flea markets across the nation.

HSUS is the nation’s largest animal protection organization.

The investigation included visits to 21 flea markets from March 2014 thru July 2015. About 6.5% (70 out of 1,100) of the nation’s flea markets allow vendors to sell live animals including puppies.
