Maricopa County supervisors recently approved a new partnership with Midwestern University which will allow student veterinarians to provide veterinary care for animals located at Maricopa County Animal Care & Control (MCACC) according to THE ARIZONA REPUBLIC.

According to the agreement, animals will be transported to Midwestern facilities, where student veterinarians will perform procedures under the supervision of supervisors and licensed .

The agreement is scheduled to expire on June 30, 2017.
