Modern Animal Raises $13.5 Million for Veterinary Care Platform

MODERN ANIMAL recently raised a $13.5 million seed round of funding which will enable the company to open it’s first veterinary clinic in Los Angeles early next year according to TECHCRUNCH.

Modern Animal Co-founders include Steven Eidelman and Ben Jacobs. Eidelman previously founded dog-tracking startup Whistle which was reportedly sold in 2016 to Mars Petcare for more than $100 million acccording to TECHCRUNCH.

Modern Animal hopes to grow to 50 locations in the U.S. within the next 5 years. It’s first pet clinic will be located at 8122 Beverly Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90048.

MEMBERSHIPS will be offered to pet owners which includes unlimited office visits and 24/7 access to Virtual Care (Telemedicine). The annual membership price is $100.

Eidelman STATED:

“We want to build the most efficient system that allows us to deliver the best care. Those efficiencies should funnel into long-term lower cost of care.”
