Sheriff Seeks Animal Cruelty Charges Against Texas Veterinarian

The Austin County Sheriff’s Department has recently announced that “investigators are recommending that animal cruelty charges be filed against a Texas veterinarian who killed a cat with a bow and arrow and then bragged about it online” according to U-T San Diego.

The Austin County Sheriff’s Department has forwarded it’s completed investigation to the Austin County District Attorney Travis J. Koehn.

According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners which licenses and regulates Texas veterinarians has opened an investigation.

The Washington Animal Clinic fired veterinarian Kristen Lindsey within hours of the photo surfacing on social media according to the Daily News.
