Petco recently announced it plans to construct JustFoodForDogs branded exhibition kitchens and pantries in hundreds of its stores according to THE SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE. Meals are prepared using ingredients that are 100% certified for human consumption by the USDA. The in-store kitchens at Petco will be staffed by JustFoodForDogs employees.
According to Petco’s Executive Vice President:
“The customer has complete visibility into the process. They can see the raw ingredients, see the chef cooking the ingredients and buy the food that has just been made fresh in that store.”
Petco plans to debut it’s first in-store kitchen before the end of this year.
