New Bill Proposes Tax Credit For Adopting Homeless Pets In New York

Council Member Julissa Ferreras (D-Queens) recently introduced a new bill to the New York City Council which proposes to provide a state tax credit for people who adopt homeless pets from shelters.  If the new bill is passed, New York would become the first state in the nation to provide a tax credit for people which adopt pets from animal shelters.
