General Mills To Acquire Blue Buffalo Pet Food For $8B

General Mills, a leading global food company, has reached a deal to acquire Blue Buffalo Pet Products for about $8 billion according to USA TODAY.

Blue Buffalo was founded in 2002 and is the fastest growing major pet food company making natural foods and treats for dogs and cats.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of General Mills’ fiscal 2018.
