PetPair, an online pet adoption platform, recently ANNOUNCED it has closed a $1.1 million pre-seed round for a total of $1.2M raised to date. The financing round was led by Bling Capital.

PetPair currently works with animal welfare organizations in the southwestern U.S. where high animal counts and shelter capacity issues are the norm. The company utilizes a Foster-Centric model to rapidly move pets out of shelters into the homes of volunteer fosters or adopters, with the ultimate goal of maximizing nationwide capacity for care.

The company is led by CEO and co-founder Daniel Miyares.
